Course objectives
Professor Robert Kegan, lecturer at Harvard University’s Life Long Learning Department sees that while training increases the fund of knowledge, education leads to a new view on work.
The Manager of the Future will both train (i.e. skills within the modules) and educate (develop the level of ownership- ‘the self-employed attitude’ within organisations). This is learning and development.
Once ‘The Manager of the Future’ is completed, John Seymour Associates will have successfully introduced the key skills of Inspirational Leadership and Influencing Skills as well as the ability to Continuously Manage Change.
This will result in:
- Less managerial inefficiency / more effective communication
- Less misinterpretations / improved relations between staff
- Less frustration / a more solutions focused attitude
- Less time wasting / more definite results
Less ‘ego-centric’ actions / more business oriented ownership
The manager of the future is enabled to take ownership and responsibility for what happens internally and externally. This is the Manager of the Future.
