INTRODUCTION
The purpose of communication can be defined as the activity of raising the level of mutual understanding.

This course shows how we ‘cannot not communicate’ and yet we are able to choose the methods, including language, to get the best results we can.

Course objectives

On successful completion of the programme participants will be able to:

  • Recognise the relative impact of conscious and unconscious communication
  • Explain and use unconscious communication channels
  • Set and communicate clear goals
  • Clarify other's communication and negotiate as required
  • Influence others to agreement and action
  • Listen behind the words for true intention
  • Select language and language patterns to power-communicate
  • Read and send non-verbal signals as intended

Course Content

This programme considers the drives and motivations beneath the way in which people communicate. It reconnects the links between our values and beliefs and our external language, both verbal and non-verbal, and in doing so helps participants to recognise the potential different meanings in the language of others. From a foundation of rapport building, the programme allows participants to investigate their own patterns and meanings and begin to identify and acknowledge those of others in order to achieve mutual outcomes.
