John Seymour Associates (JSA) has been delivering successfully to the Fire & Rescue Service for the last 6 months. The audience has been supervisory and middle management.
Our initial focus has been on whole-time staff. During this time, there has been significant concern from the HQ’s that we have been working with about delivering the necessary skills for part-time / retained staff!
To this end, JSA has been initiating conversations around providing a flexible training solution. As a solution, we have realised, that one key factor is essential, Flexibility!
We intend to identify, with each F&R HQ, their specific retained delivery requirements.
Retained Courses Available
BTEC LEVEL 3 – 9 Day programme
BTEC LEVEL 4 – 15 Day programme
New Disciplinary Training – 2 Days
Delivery Example of BTEC Level 3
Delivered locally, i.e. at or close to the retained station
Class runs ½ day, followed by a full day 6 deliveries
All assessment is assessed in the class
An option for offset multiple in each area delivery for wash-up’s
Delivery and Cost
A class can hold up to 14 participants, and is delivered using x1 tutor and x1 assessor.
The cost of delivery will be worked out with each individual HQ, based on their specific requirements.
